Texas Hold'em – The King of Poker

Texas Hold'em is the world's most popular poker variant and one of the most widely watched card games — it's what you see at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) and in virtually every poker scene on film and television. Each player is dealt two private cards (hole cards), and five shared cards are placed face-up in the middle of the table (community cards). You build the best possible hand using your two hole cards combined with any three of the five community cards. The simplicity of the rules paired with virtually limitless strategic depth is what makes Texas Hold'em the game of choice at PG88.

Omaha – For Players Who Want More Action

Omaha is a poker variant that is growing in popularity because it delivers more action and bigger pot potential. Each player receives four hole cards (instead of two as in Hold'em), and you must use exactly two of your four hole cards combined with exactly three of the five community cards. This requirement to use exactly two hole cards is what makes Omaha strategy fundamentally different from Hold'em, making it more challenging and exciting for players who are already comfortable with Texas Hold'em.

Answers to the most frequently asked questions about poker at PG88

Texas Hold'em deals each player 2 hole cards, while Omaha deals 4. In Texas Hold'em, you can use any combination of your hole cards and the community cards to build the best hand. In Omaha, you MUST use exactly 2 of your 4 hole cards and exactly 3 of the 5 community cards. This makes Omaha more complex and produces larger average pots. Most PG88 players start with Texas Hold'em before moving on to Omaha once they have more experience under their belt.

PG88 micro tables have a minimum buy-in as low as RM 4 (for RM 0.10/0.20 blind tables with a RM 4–RM 20 buy-in range). This makes PG88 poker highly accessible even with a small bankroll. Mid-stakes tables start from a RM 40 buy-in (RM 1/2 blinds) up to RM 200 (RM 5/10 blinds). High Stakes tables require a buy-in between RM 2,000 and RM 10,000. PG88 recommends new players start at the micro tables to learn the ropes before moving up.

PG88 daily freeroll tickets are automatically awarded to all players who are actively playing at cash game poker tables on that day. You need to play at least 20 hands at a cash game table to qualify for one freeroll ticket. The ticket can be used to enter the Daily Freeroll held every night at 21:00 MYT, with a RM 5,000 prize pool and a cap of 500 players. Freeroll tickets must be used on the same day and are non-transferable.
